Description
Chem-Crest 14 is a multipurpose heavy duty phosphate-free liquid cleaner. It is useful in many applications demanding removal of various contaminants such as those found in bio-medical and laboratory instruments and glassware. Chem-Crest 14 is a detergent concentrate and is freely water soluble.
Typical Contaminants Removed
Chem-Crest 14 is effective on oils, greases, blood, tissues, ointments, lubricants, buffing and lapping compounds, fingerprints, and airborne contaminants. Crest also offers an enzymatic version of Chem-Crest 14, called Chem-Crest 14EZ, for routine cleaning of biologically soiled instruments.
Operating Conditions
Chem-Crest 14 is typically used at 3–10% by volume in ultrasonic applications. Normal operating temperatures: 120°–170°F. Recommended rinsing water temperature: 120°–150°F, dependent upon the material makeup of the substrate and the contaminants being removed. Contact your Crest representative for product-line specific recommendations.
Substrate Compatibility
Chem-Crest 14 is safe on various metals, such as carbon and stainless steels, aluminum, brass, copper, bronze, zinc, glass, plastics, hard rubber articles, and ceramics — when used as directed.
Availability
Chem-Crest 14 is available in cases of (4) x 1-gallon plastic bottles, 5-gallon pails, and in 55-gallon containers.
