Description
Chem-Crest 35 is a mildly acidic liquid cleaner developed to remove various oxides. It removes tarnish and brightens metals such as brass, copper, bronze, and stainless steel. Chem-Crest 35 has also found uses in the removal of light oils and other general contaminants.
Typical Contaminants Removed
Chem-Crest 35 removes oxides, scale and tarnish. Cleans soils such as oils, light grease, fingerprints, dust, and airborne contaminants.
Operating Conditions
Chem-Crest 35 is typically used at 5–10% by volume in ultrasonic applications. Normal operating temperatures: 140°–180°F. Chem-Crest 35 is easy to rinse and leaves no residues when ultrasonically rinsed with deionized water. The ultrasonic frequency in the rinses is recommended to be 40 kHz or 132 kHz, dependent on the material makeup of the substrate and the contaminants being removed. Contact your Crest representative for product-line specific recommendations.
Substrate Compatibility
Chem-Crest 35 is compatible with aluminum, brass, bronze, copper, beryillium copper, and zinc. It is safe on glass, ceramics, and plastics. Ferrous metals must be rinsed thoroughly after treatment and then protected with a rust inhibitor, such as the Chem-Crest 77 series of rinse-injection additives.
Availability
Chem-Crest 35 is available in cases of (8) x 1-quart bottles, (4) x 1-gallon plastic bottles, 5-gallon pails, and in 55-gallon containers.
