Description
Chem-Crest 45 is a multipurpose, heavy-duty liquid detergent designed for use in the medical industry. It is useful in many applications demanding removal of various contaminants such as oils, greases, and particulates, light oxidation, and tough-to-remove contaminants.
Typical Contaminants Removed
Chem-Crest 45 is designed to effectively remove various oils, greases, light oxides, buffing, lapping, and polishing compounds, solder fluxes, welding fluxes, photoresists, airborne contaminants, and baked-on carbonaceous soils, as well as other soils.
Operating Conditions
Chem-Crest 45 typical dilution is 3–5% by volume for light soils and 5-10% by volume for heavy soils. A 20–25% solution can be used for de-rusting and de-scaling of ferrous metals. Normal operating temperatures: 140°–170°F. Recommended rinsing water temperature: 120°–150°F. Contact your Crest representative for product-line specific recommendations.
Substrate Compatibility
Chem-Crest 45 is safe on ferrous metals, nickel, chromium alloys, titanium, plastics, glass, ceramics, and silicon wafers — when used as directed. It is not to be used on aluminum, magnesium, or zinc substrates. Check with your Crest representative for alternatives.
Availability
Chem-Crest 45 is available in cases of (4) x 1-gallon plastic bottles, 5-gallon pails, 55-gallon containers, and custom bulk sizes.
